Code of Practice for Training Programme Accreditation
SECTION 5: THE PANEL OF ACCREDITATION
5.0 Introduction
The approved training providers (ATPs) make submissions to the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) for the purpose of either Approval, Provisional Accreditation, and Full Accreditation. Assessment for the training programme will be based on the submitted information. These assessments will also be based on other documents submitted and further supported by observation, written and oral evidence and personal interaction during the evaluation visit by the Panel of Accreditation (PA) appointed by CIDB.
Training programme are assessed or evaluated for the purposes of accreditation or re-accreditation. In this section, the terms assessment and evaluation are used interchangeably.
The primary task of the PA is to review and provide recommendations upon completion of the assessment of the training programme and/or the completion of the compliance exercise. The final decision to approve/reject the learning programme submitted shall be decided by the Accreditation Committee (AC). All observations/findings for the compliance exercise also shall be deliberated on by the AC.
