vi. react effectively in stressful situations;
vii. arrive at generally objective conclusions based on rational
considerations; and
viii. remain true to a conclusion despite pressure to change what is
not based on evidence.
It is not expected that each panel member possesses all the competencies and experience required of an assessor, but as a group, the PA should possess qualities which may include some or all of the following:
i. Higher education qualification or further education and training aspects:
a. Appropriate subject knowledge/educational background.
b. Up-to-date with current developments in the field of
construction industry.
ii. Quality evaluation aspects:
a. An understanding of the context and environment within which the department operates.
b. Commitment to the principles of quality and quality assurance in the construction industry.
