WE ARE STILL FAR FROM THE END
W ow!! It is already six years in secondary school which means it is my turn to write this long-awaited
profile. Now, I truly believe in this saying, “Time flies when you are having fun”.
Of a truth, my parents brought me to this great citadel of learning to study and get approved by God and
the society but I came to realize that Grundtvig gives an all round education as
the motto has it “Education For Life”. I am proud that I am leaving my alma
mater physically, socially, spiritually, morally and academically enriched.
I can say that I

I can say that I was not the happiest person when I stepped into the four happiest person
walls of Grundtvig. But, I am leaving as the happiest and most enriched person
because I fulfilled the promise I made to my parents prior to my coming here and when I stepped

Ahanotu Chinonso, who served as a father and friend to every one of us and who
guided us all the way to this stage, an administrator like Mr. Gbenga, who
coached us to become useful citizens, disciplinarian like Mr. Amobi, who made sure we were disciplined, form
teacher like, Mr. Rudolf, who encouraged us to be the best in all we do, hostel mistress like Mrs. Nonye Okafor,
who was a friend, a mother and a counsellor to us. Nelson Mandella Girls' supervisor like Miss Amara, who fought
tooth and nail to make sure we become good girls, teachers like Mr. Iloka Ernest, who taught us restlessly and
carefully making sure we used our brains to solve and think, Mr. Ayowale, who served as an inspiration to many of
us who wanted to do very well in music later in life, Mr. Tim whose words of encouragement, food for thought and
life style was fancied by all, who also encouraged me to face my fears (sir, you will never be forgotten, your reward
is in heaven), Mr. Nwutara, who challenged us that we can be better than the best, Mr. Ejiofor, who made sure we
did well in every subject and who tried relentlessly to make me enter a good university after secondary school. Mr.
Eyiuche who helped in areas we did not find very easy and who made the workload in Anglican Church to reduce,
counselor like Mrs. Ifeoma Chukwubueze, who counseled us and stood by us all the time, you will always come
out victorious.
Really, time flies when you are having fun with friends like Dimndu (Roomie), Kene, Ursuala, Sharon,
Ona, Zomzom, ChidinmaChiddybebe, Excellent-Anita, Bim-Bim, Nwokoye, Chibyke, Miss Belz,Adaeze,
NasaDera, Manest (Eshoba) Jason Nnamdi A. who made every single day remarkable.
How will I forget my junior friends who made my stay in GISS fun and remarkable.People like Chidiogo
and Chigoz, Herrietta, Onyinye A., Chimfunanya, Emeka Chris, Obi Kosi, “B”- Rejoice and Chiamaka,
InuKamsi, Nora and Dora (troublesome twins), Vandora, Obidigbo and Ekwenibe. The list could go on and on.
Just know that you guys have a special place in my heart. Keep the fire burning. You will forever be loved.
To the class of 2019, don't forget to always soar higher than the eagle as we always do. Just remember that
“We are still far from the end.”
