GOODBYE G.I.S.S.!
s a kid in Primary School, I have always imagined
how tough it could be when I enter Secondary School
Aand spend six years of my life there. But fortunately,
my dream turned into reality. I saw myself in Grundtvig
Secondary School, Oba.
Initially, I was terrified because
of stories from friends and Though it was
relatives who had passed
through boarding school life. stressful and tough
But later on, I began to notice in a way, it taught
that it was not so in GISS and I me that in life,
really felt at home, far away when the going
from home. gets tough, the
tough gets going.
Though it was stressful and With the training I

become whatever I wanted to
become. School days were
long, stressful, filled with extra classes and the likes, but
finally, it's over.
I will not like to say much because stating my experiences will
fill a whole life diary, but I want to use the opportunity to thank my teachers who imparted invaluable
knowledge to me which I am about to share to the outside world. Though it reached a point when I began
to detest them, I later realized that they were trying to mould me into a better person. To my lovely
teachers, I want to say that gifts and ''thank you'' will not be enough for all you have done for me, but I
pray that the Almighty God will reward you abundantly.
To my wonderful, marvelous, loving and caring parents, I want to use this opportunity to thank you
greatly because without you, I wouldn't have been able to pass through this great school and also for
giving me your tremendous support and guidance throughout my stay at Grundtvig. I particularly
appreciate the fact that you never missed my visiting days. I want to say a very big thank you dad and
mum and I love you two.
Wow! How can I forget my set mates who were always there for me; in times of happiness and sadness,
we were always there to face it together. It breaks my heart to think that we won't be together again. But I
know too well that you people will always be in my heart and I will share my memories with my kids on
how wonderful the set of 2019 really was.
To my lovely juniors, I just want to say that you all will graduate from this great school if you keep God
first and have determination. There is this philosophy which I made which says “A man on a mission
without a vision will end up in illusion and will not be able to reach his determination because of
confusion.” So have a good vision and be determined to achieve it. Wait for God's conclusion in all your
decision and mission.
A journey of a thousand miles has finally come to an end!
