YEARBOOK FAREWELL MESSAGE

CONGRATULATIONS!
The saying that “time flies” is really true. Wow! I can`t believe it. Days
rolled into weeks, weeks into months and months turned into years, six
years and it`s finally over. I can vividly remember the day I walked into the
th
premises of this prestigious institution on the 7 of September, 2013. I
came into AGGS with the motive of every other AGGS girl to make my
parents proud. I could not believe I had entered secondary school, leaving
my parents behind and the comfort of my home. I met a new environment,
faces, characters and people of different backgrounds far and near.
OMONU, Grace
One thing I ever dreaded as a student was the post of a Senior Prefect. As
th
fate could have it, the post was passed down to me on the 16 of March, 2018. I really wanted to cry
as this posed a very big challenge to me. At first, the work was burdensome because I had to
combine it with my academics. Being a leader emerged with many oppositions, supports, love,
and hatred. There were tears, laughter, insults and the rest. But with the help of God and the
support of my able and co-operative prefects, I was able to make it through.
Today another chapter of my life is being closed. This responsibility taught me one thing, that
winners never quit and quitters never win. It made me stand firm, strong and maintain my focus
and determination.
I want to say a very big thank you to God almighty for guiding and seeing me through my stay in
this school. To our esteemed parents thank you, for all your care, love and support. I also want to
say a very big thank you to the Vicar and Clergies for the spiritual guidance and great impact made
in our lives. To our Principal, Mrs Ngozi Estelle Ozigbo, thank you for making our stay in this
school a wonderful stay. To both our teaching and non-teaching staffs, thank you for a job well
done. How will I ever forget my Prefects, thank you for your co-operation.
To my successor, I pray God will give you the grace to scale through. The remaining students left
behind, strive hard, and never give up in life. Be hardworking, focused and determined. Hard
work never kills but rewards diligently. Always be a godly girl.
Finally, to my set mates, it takes a lot of courage to say goodbye, thank you for everything. As we
depart, always be good ambassadors of this school. I urge you all not to forget what has been
instilled in us and I pray God will go with us wherever we go.
Thank you AGGS for everything. Goodbye AGGS.
AU-REVOIR MON ALMA MATER.
