2019 New Vocations All-Thoroughbred Charity Horse Show & T.I.P. Championships
Eligibility – All classes and divisions are open to any horse that has been registered with The Jockey Club or a foreign Thoroughbred stud book recognized by The Jockey Club. All Thoroughbreds must have T.I.P. numbers on entry form. www.tjctip.com
Junior – Junior classes and divisions are open to riders under 18 years of age as of 12/18
Junior/Young Rider (applies to Dressage classes only)
– Junior/Young rider classes are open to riders under 22 years of age as of 12/1/18
AA – Open to Adult Amateurs only. For details on what constitutes Amateur status, please visit www.usef.org
Open – Open to any rider.
NEW for 2019 – No cross entry in Junior, AA and/or
Open at the same height.
Rolex Hunter Ring
NEW for 2019 – Hunter Divisions consist of 4 classes: 2 over-fences classes on Friday; and 1 over-fences and 1 under-saddle classes on Sunday. The Junior, AA and Open Divisions over-fences classes and Derbies will run concurrently at the same height, open card. On Sunday, under-saddle classes at each height will be run first, followed by the over-fences classes (open card).
100/101/102. Special Hunter Divisions – Open to all Thoroughbreds. Horses may not cross enter into any class where fences exceed 2’9”. Fence height 2’6”. Division Numbers: #100 – Open; #101 – Junior;
#102 – AA
103/104/105. Suitable Hunter Divisions – Open to all Thoroughbreds. Horses may not cross enter into any class where fences exceed 3’0”. Fence height 2’9”. Division Numbers: #103 – Open; #104 – Junior;
#105 – AA
106/107/108. Low Hunter Divisions – Open to all Thoroughbreds. Fence height 3’0”. Division Numbers: #106 – Open; #107 – Junior; #108 – AA
111. Iggy J Hunter Classic – Riders must have shown in at least two (2) hunter or equitation classes at the show (warm-up classes excluded). Exhibitor’s fence height to be determined by the highest division competed in as horse-and-rider combination on Friday or Sunday. The top 15 scores will return for a second round; final placings will be determined by the culmination of both scores. The class will be conducted using three fence heights, but it will be pinned as one class. There is no jog. The class is based on performance, hunter pace, jumping style, quality, substance and movement. Fence heights 2’6”, 2’9” and 3’0”. Riders may ride more than one horse in the Hunter Classic, but not more than one per fence height.
Class Numbers: 2’6” (#111A), 2’9” (#111B) and 3’0” (#111C)
Hunter Derbies – Offered at 2’6”, 2’9” and 3’0”. Two- round format with the first round to be typical hunter classic course with two (2) higher option fences and the second round to include “handy”-type questions. Both scores will be combined to determine placings. The class will be conducted using three fence heights, but awards will be offered for the Junior/Amateur as one class (1-10) and the Open as one class (1-10). There is no jog. Questions may include, but are not limited to, halt on course, trot fence, roll back, negotiating natural obstacles, etc. Cannot cross-enter Hunter Derby Divisions (must declare either Open or Jr/AA). Riders may ride more than one horse in the Derby, but may not ride more than one per fence height. Riders must declare intention to show no later than 12 PM. on Saturday, Sept. 7. Ribbons 1st through 10th. Order of go and courses will be posted by 3 PM outside of horse show office and at ring.
109. Junior/Amateur Hunter Derby – Open to horses ridden by a Junior (under 18 years of age as of 12/1/18) or Amateur who has shown in at least two (2) hunter or equitation classes at the show (warm-up classes excluded).
