2019 New Vocations All-Thoroughbred Charity Horse Show & T.I.P. Championships
Western Walk/Jog – To be shown both ways of the ring at the walk and jog. May be asked to back per judge’s discretion. To be judged on the horse’s obedience and suitability as a pleasure mount.
Western Walk/Jog/Lope – To be shown both ways of the ring at the walk, jog and lope. May be asked to back per judge’s discretion. Judged on the Western horse’s way of going and manners at the walk, jog, and lope.
Western Horsemanship (Friday only) – Open to any Thoroughbred. To be shown at walk, jog and lope both ways of the ring. Riders will also be asked to ride a set pattern, which will be posted at least one hour before the class commences. Class to be judged on rider’s ability to execute the pattern smoothly with correct body position.
Western Ranch Rail (Saturday only) – Open to any Thoroughbred. To be shown individually at the walk, jog and lope both directions of the ring. Horses may be asked to back. To be judged on manners, suitability of horse to rider and performance.
408. War Horse In-Hand – Open to Thoroughbreds that have raced at least 50 times OR that have won over $100,000. Will be judged on conformation and way of going at a walk and trot in hand. Race record details must be provided to the show secretary. Horses to be judged Saturday at 7:30 AM. Placed horse’s statistics will be announced. Cannot cross enter with In-Hand Classes. Minor blemishes and faults not considered. Horse should be presented in a bridle.
409. Leadline – Open to children 6 years of age and under riding Thoroughbreds. Riders will be judged on horsemanship, hands, seat, legs and position.
410. In-Hand Mares – Thoroughbred mares to be presented in-hand in a bridle. Mares will be asked to walk and trot, and will be judged on conformation and way of going.
411. In-Hand Geldings – Thoroughbred geldings to be presented in-hand in a bridle. Geldings will be asked to
walk and trot, and will be judged on conformation and way of going.
412. Western-Type Halter – Thoroughbreds to be presented in-hand in a halter. Horses will be asked to walk and jog, and will be judged on conformation and way of going as a western-type horse.
413. Adopted Horse English Pleasure W/T/C or W/J/L – Open to Thoroughbreds that have been adopted thorough an adoption program. Proof of adoption is required. To be judged on way of going at a walk, trot and canter under English tack or walk, jog, lope under western tack. Horses can cross-enter into other Pleasure classes. Sponsored by the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance. Winner of the class will receive a TAA gift bag.
416. W/T Equitation Junior – Open to any Junior rider riding a Thoroughbred to be shown both ways of the ring at the walk and trot.
417. W/T/C Equitation Junior – Open to any Junior rider riding a Thoroughbred to be shown both ways of the ring at the walk, trot and canter.
418. W/T Equitation Senior – Open to any Adult Amateur rider riding a Thoroughbred to be shown both ways of the ring at the walk and trot.
419. W/T/C Equitation Senior – Open to any Adult Amateur rider riding a Thoroughbred to be shown both ways of the ring at the walk, trot and canter.
422. Ranch Riding – Open to any Thoroughbred. Horses to be ridden in Western tack. To be shown individually in a pattern, which will be posted at least one hour before the class commences. Class to be judged on the precision of pattern maneuvers and horse’s movement. Pattern may include sidepassing, extended trot, extended lope, lead changes, spins or riding over natural obstacles such as logs.
423. Trail – Open to any Thoroughbred. Horses may be presented in English or Western tack. To be shown individually in a pattern, which will be posted at least one hour before the class commences. Class to be judged on horse and rider’s ability to work as a team to navigate obstacles they may encounter on a trail;
