Bio
Doug Payne and Polygon
Doug Payne is a graduate of LaGuardia High School of Music & Art (also
known as FAME) in Manhattan NY, and Howard University in Wash. D.C.
This former member of the Sister Sledge tour ("We are Family") has produced
several recordings for quite a few East Coast acts and worked as the Music
Director for The Dreamlovers, Eddie Holman, The Coasters and the
house-band for the Atlantic City television show Chat-24.
The first release in 1982 by Doug Payne and Polygon was “Holiday”. This
became a party favorite in Japan according to DJ Jay Suzuki.

October 2017 to Z Records of London England to be included in their new
release.
In 1985 Doug performed his 2nd release "She is on the Money" on the
Philadelphia PHL17 television show "Dancin on Air".

Next Doug Payne teamed up with the A&R Director of Philadelphia
International Records William Goodwin to record his 12” single “New York
Lady”.

During the early nineties Doug was contracted for nine months at sea, as a
performer for Cunard, Crowne, and Commodore Cruise lines.
The popular radio commercial for JR Flips Potato Chips was written and
produced by Payne during his break from his non-stop schedule.
Polygon consisted of some of the Philadelphia area's top musicians Tony
"Smitty" Smith Bass guitar, George "Blue Eagle" Jackson Drums, Amanda
