CASE STUDY
RIVERSIDE COMMUNITY HOSPITAL
15th Most Profitable Hospital in the Country, yet a very poor track record for quality care:
Annual gross revenue: $2.26 billion
Since 1901, Riverside Community Hospital (RCH) has been
a vital part of the Inland Empire region, and for decades
people in the community have depended on the hospital
for comprehensive healthcare and its highly specialized
services. Staff consists of over 1,900 employees and 400
physicians represents over 500 specialties. Over the years,
Riverside Community Hospital facilities have aged and are
in continual repair. Operating costs are high, and the rooms
are limited, with double occupancy. The demand in the area is tremendous and requires Riverside residents to leave their service area to nd care elsewhere because adequate hospital facility supply does not exist.
373-bed Hospital 1,900 Staff
500 Physicians
Riverside Community Hospital generally ranks poorly across specialty types – providing a further competitive advantage for MarchLife California.
