l SUNDAY, JUNE 9: A driving tour of the Grand Teton National Park this morning with picture stops along the way. Next, the short trip to Yellowstone National Park for a two- night stay. This is our country’s first national park, and you will have time to watch the “Old faithful Geyser” and explore the area. Our two-night stay will be at Old Faithful Inn.
l MONDAY, JUNE 10: We’ll spend most of today touring the beauty and splendor of the park with a National Park Guide for the Grand Loop Tour. See the hot springs, the wildlife, and just take pride in this gorgeous scenic country of ours. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife and many of nature’s wonders such as Mammoth Hot Springs, the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, the Upper and Lower Falls, Hayden Valley and it’s bison, mud pots and much, much more! B
l TUESDAY, JUNE 11: Leaving Yellowstone reluctantly behind, we travel to Cody, Wyoming. Our lunch today will see us stepping back into the Old West at historic Irma Hotel for lunch, a place that Buffalo Bill Cody called a “gem”. Make sure while you’re in here to see the cherrywood backbar in the restaurant that was presented to Colonel Cody by Queen Victoria of England after a command performance he gave for her. Next, we visit the buffalo Bill Museum, one of the nation’s largest collections of frontier memorabilia. Our overnight accommodations will be at Buffalo Bill Village. This evening we will attend a real-live, rootin’-tootin’ rodeo, (Cody is known as the Rodeo Capital of the world.) BL
l WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12: The beautiful scenery just won’t quit as we drive through the mountainous region of Wyoming on our way to the Presidents’ Mountain on Mount Rushmore near Rapid City, South Dakota. One of the largest sculptures ever created. We will visit Mt. Rushmore in the evening for the lighted program. A novel, emotionally moving event. A two-night stay in Keystone, SD. BLD
l THURSDAY, JUNE 13: This morning we visit the Crazy Horse Memorial, an ongoing project dedicated to the Native Americans of
McCarter Coach & Tour
North America. When completed the carving will be 641 feet long by 563 feet high. We make a stop for lunch at the Custer State Game Lodge. Next, hop in and buckle up for a wild ride. The Buffalo Safari Jeep tour will take you where only they can go - off- road to the private, interior dirt roads of the Park. Trek through the park in an open-air Jeep in search of pronghorns, elk, and the noble buffalo. Along the way, guides will share historical and educational facts about the park and wildlife – and help you spot the critter. An unforgettable adventure! BL
l FRIDAY, JUNE 14: A ride through Badland National Park and its dramatic landscapes. Later that day a stop at the Wall Drug Store, can’t miss this - the signs announce it for miles. A stop this afternoon at the world’s only Corn Palace. Located in Mitchell, South Dakota, it was established in 1892 for a fall festival. It is redecorated each year with a variety of South Dakota grains and grasses. Overnight in Sioux City, Iowa. BL
l SATURDAY, JUNE 15: We travel on through the corn belt state of Iowa. We stop at the Machine Shed in Urbandale, Iowa for an included lunch. Then we will visit the John Deere Pavilion where you can “try out” the massive farming machinery. Our last overnight will be in Bettendorf, Iowa. BL
l SUNDAY, JUNE 16: We end our journey to the west and travel homeward with an early evening arrival planned. Bringing with us great memories and new friendships. BL
Reservations will not be held without a $300 per person deposit. Balance due 60 days prior to departure.
