n SUNDAY, JUNE 8, 2025: This morning, we’ll board the Star Ferry to Mackinac Island. June on the island means one thing: the lilacs are in full bloom. Thanks to its unique microclimate, Mackinac Island is the perfect place for lilacs to thrive, producing flowers that are larger and longer lasting than most anywhere else in the U.S. It’s truly a remarkable sight! After taking in the floral beauty, relive the simple pleasures of island life with a scenic carriage tour around the island, followed by a fabulous lunch at the elegant Grand Hotel. While casual attire is appropriate during the day, please refrain from wearing midriff-baring tops (for women), sleeveless shirts (for men), sweatpants, or cut-off shorts. In the evening, we’ll head to Audie’s Restaurant for dinner and a show, where we’ll enjoy a heartfelt tribute to Gordon Lightfoot, the Canadian singer and songwriter known for his folk-pop classics from the 1960s and ‘70s. It’s the perfect way to wind down a memorable day on the island! CLD
n MONDAY, JUNE 9, 2025: Our day begins with a tour of Mackinaw City, a charming town rich in history that’s often overlooked as travelers head to the more famous Mackinac Island. If time and weather allow, we may have the chance to ride across the Mighty Mac, enjoying breathtaking views of the Straits of Mackinac. Next, we continue on to Frankenmuth, MI, where we’ll visit Bronner’s Christmas Store, the largest store of its kind in the world. You’ll be amazed by the vast
selection of holiday decorations and unique items on display. We’ll end the day with an overnight stay at the beautiful Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth, where you can relax and enjoy the quaint charm and warm hospitality of this delightful town. C
n TUESDAY, JUNE 10, 2025: This morning, we’ll enjoy a full-service breakfast—you definitely won’t leave hungry! Afterward, you’ll have some free time to explore the charming shops, take a scenic carriage ride, hop aboard the Bavarian Belle for a boat ride on the Cass River, or simply relax and soak in the Bavarian town’s German heritage. Then, we’ll gather for an included lunch at Zehnder’s, a local favorite, before boarding the bus for our return trip home. It’s the perfect way to wrap up a wonderful journey!
