n TUESDAY JULY 1, 2025: The Lexington carriage rides will give you a charming and relaxing way to take in the town’s rich history, and strolling around will let you soak up the atmosphere of this historic area. There are plenty of great local spots for lunch. Virginia Safari Park is always a hit! The wagon ride is a fantastic way to get up close with the animals—expect lots of fun (and maybe a few slobbery encounters from the friendly residents). After a fun-filled day with history, sightseeing, and up-close animal encounters, a relaxing dinner at the Colonial Dining Room will be a great way to unwind. BD
n WEDNESDAY JULY 2, 2025: As our adventure ends, you will have time for a few final experiences before heading home. You can enjoy a leisurely morning, either sleeping in or soaking in the beautiful views. Then, we’ll head to Michie Tavern for a delicious lunch before embarking on our last journey—a tour of Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello. Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello is a must-visit historical landmark, offering a glimpse into the life and legacy of one of America’s Founding Fathers. Situated in Charlottesville, Virginia, Monticello was Jefferson’s home and plantation, designed by him with neoclassical influences. It’s a fascinating and thought-provoking place, perfect for reflecting on history before heading home. We then will begin our journey home, carrying wonderful memories with us. BL

  n SUNDAY JUNE 29, 2025: Natural Bridge, Virginia, is a gem with its awe-inspiring rock formations, scenic hiking trails, and rich history. Our first stop will be to the State Park. Natural Bridge State Park is a must-see! The 215-foot limestone arch is breathtaking, and the surrounding park offers plenty of ways to experience its beauty. You will have some time to stop in the Gift Shop & Visitor Center for souvenirs and to learn more about the area’s history. The Natural Bridge Historic Hotel is a charming and historic place to stay, offering a mix of classic Southern hospitality and beautiful views of the surrounding area and will be our accommodation for the duration of the tour. Our included dinner will be at the Colonial Dining Room, which serves traditional Southern-style meals. D
n MONDAY JUNE 30, 2025: Get ready for an adventurous day. We head to the Virginia Museum of Transportation for our first stop. The museum has an impressive collection of trains, cars, and aviation exhibits—perfect for history and tech enthusiasts. Lunch will be at the Roanoke City Market Building, which will give you plenty of options with its local food vendors. Next, The O. Winston Link Museum is a fantastic stop if you love photography and railroad history, and then to the Black Dog Salvage which is a treasure trove of unique finds—great for browsing and even picking up a one-of-a-kind souvenir.
