     Christmas in the Woods:
A Family Tradition for 30 Years
A s we proudly celebrate the 30th anniversary of Old-Fashioned Christmas in the Woods, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed to the festival’s success over the years. This milestone would not be possible without the incredible support of our talented crafters, dedicated concessionaires, hardworking staff, entertainers, and—most importantly—our loyal attendees. Each of you has played a vital
role in making this event a beloved tradition.
We are deeply honored to be recognized by Sunshine Artist Magazine as one of the top contemporary
craft shows in the country. The festival’s charm lies in its beautiful wooded setting, decorated festively for the holidays, creating the perfect backdrop for a truly magical experience. This year, we’re excited to welcome over 35 new crafters, bringing our total to an amazing 230 artisans, and we’ve expanded with a new section of booths near Gate C.
For many, Old-Fashioned Christmas in the Woods has become a cherished holiday tradition, with visitors traveling from over 30 states to kick off their holiday shopping. Your continued support and enthusiasm have helped make this festival a one-of-a-kind experience for families and friends to enjoy year after year.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us. We look forward to celebrating many more years together! Merry Christmas and God Bless “Everyone,” Ken and Linda McGaffic
Furniture Building Passed From Father To Son
W
e are a multi-generational woodworking shop located in the East Tennessee mountains. It all began in 1976, when my dad bought the first saws, which was also the year I was born. This is
when the journey began.
It all started with about a dozen
different pieces and we began to grow adding different designs over the years. I took over the business over 10 years ago and my dad told me to ‘grow it’ and we have done just that!! We now make well over 200 pieces of furniture.
We can pretty much furnish an entire house including bedroom and dining room sets and we also build custom kitchen cabinets. Each one of our pieces are hand crafted from start to finish right here in our shop. We start with just a raw plain board in our main shop room. We cut to specific sizes. then we assemble the pieces using screws, nails, and glue to form one of our high quality products. Afterwards, we sand it and send it on to the finishing room where it is painted or stained to the desired color.
We are proud to say that we have pieces of our furniture all across the country from coast to coast and even in a few other countries!
Country Treasures is excited to be chosen as one of the featured artists for 2024. This is our debut at The Christmas in the Woods and we look forward to meeting and talking with everyone. Come by and see us at Booth #128. You can also find us on Facebook at CountryTreasuresTN.
