Creativity on Display At The Gilbert School and in our community.
Art teacher, Mrs. Steinway, credits the award-winning success of so many of our art students to the development of our art program; the addition of a year long drawing class, a year long honors class, and AP art.
Triple Win!
Three of our art students had their work accepted into the
Connecticut Regional Scholastic Awards Show and came out winners. Their art was displayed in the Silpe Gallery at the Hartford Art School, University of Hartford.
• Sophomore Alexis Ellis received a Silver Key Award for Drawing
• Senior Joy Lim received a Silver Key Award for her Portfolio
• Joy Lim’s portfolio was The Gilbert School’s rst ever portfolio acceptance!
• Senior Skye Wang received a Gold Key and Silver Award for her two Drawings.

Skye received the 2018 Outstanding Arts Award at the Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) High School Outstanding Arts Award Ceremony.
