LARM Armor
Program Update
As of February 1, 2020, eleven LARM
members had applied and been approved
to receive $700 towards the purchase of
a bullet-proof vest for their police
departments. The Village of Emerson
purchased a bullet-proof vest in January
and received a reimbursement check
fr from the LARM Armor program.
A requirement of being awarded funds
for this program is that the LARM
member police department show they
have in place a “mandatory wear” policy
for their patrol officers. For those who
don’t have one in place, LARM has a
model policy available for members at
ww ww.larmpool.org/larmarmor.html.
