Jewish soldier's mail: stampless Active Service Privilege Envelope ex FPO 755 (Barletta, Italy) to Jewish Chronicle LONDON, 19 MY 44, with purple base censor
cachet ('privilege' mail was free from censorship at the unit level but not at the base level) and notation "written in Hebrew". Although originating from Italy, this would not
have been mail from a Jewish Brigade serviceman, as the Brigade was only formed in September (and reached Italy in October), but as written in Hebrew it was probably
sent by a Palestinian Jewish serviceman.
    Lot #/Los-Nr.: a30203 :רפסמ טול Open.Bid/Anf.Geb. : $20 : יתלחתה ריחמ

Postwar Jewish Brigade Group mail: undated stampless cover ex JBG/BAOR (D company 1st battalion) to LONDON, with notation "OAS". As the Brigade transferred
from Italy to Belgium via Germany in July-August 1945, and so from Central Mediterranean Force to British Liberation Army/British Army on the Rhine, this cover must date
from the period August 1945 to the disbandment of the Brigade a year later. An unusual destination as most Brigade mail was sent to Palestine.
    Lot #/Los-Nr.: a30204 :רפסמ טול Open.Bid/Anf.Geb. : $15 : יתלחתה ריחמ

[Jewish?] soldier's mail: undated stampless airmail OAS cover ex Egypt (as marked by Cairo-applied "Deputy Chief Field Censor" cachet) to civilian in
TEL AVIV; with additional base censor cachet on back and resealed by the censor. Handwritten notation "written in Rumanian". Estimated date between 6/42
(as per censor sealing sticker) and 10/45 (when British military censorship ceased).

    Lot #/Los-Nr.: a30205 :רפסמ טול Open.Bid/Anf.Geb. : $30 : יתלחתה ריחמ

[Jewish?] soldier's mail: stampless cover ex FPO 243 (7th Armoured Division - Egypt) to civilian in EKRON, 25 FE 41, backstamped RECHOVOT 2 MR 41 where re-
routed to Rishon Le Zion and dispatched next day, arriving RLZ on 4 MR 41; initially censored by RAF (scarce hexigonal cachet), then opened and resealed by base censor,
and finally by Cairo-applied "Deputy Chief Field Censor"; handwritten notation "On Active Service". The cv may originate with one of the several Palestinian-Jewish units
based at that time in Egypt, prior to the Greek campaign. The FPO 243 pmk date exceeds Proud's latest date of 5/01/41 by almost two months.
