Jewish Brigade mail: 1939/44 British Army 3d KGVI registration envelope (Ba BF.02 A2) ex FPO 797 (Treviso, Italy) to civilian (at address of a credit institute) in TEL
AVIV, 26 JY(?) 45(?); with handwritten notation "OAS / Hebrew written" and R label assigned to 797. Although a later "Trieste" notation was added onto the cover (FPO 797
serviced that city too - but during a different period to our evaluated date), it most likely originates in Treviso, where the Jewish Brigade camped until end July 1945 when
it was transferred via Germany to Belgium.
