After the war the Jews can return to the Old City and Naomi
Shemer writes new words for the song "Jerusalem of Gold". The
new verse tells about the people who return to places that are
important to them in Jerusalem:
We have returned to the cisterns
To the market and to the square
A ram's horn (shofar) calls out (i.e. is being heard) on the
Temple Mount
In the Old City.
And in the caves in the mountain
Thousands of suns shine -
We will return and descend to the Dead Sea
