Story - How will I Remember the Meeting?
Moshe: Hello, is this Arieh’s secretary?
Secretary: Yes, this is Arieh’s secretary.
Moshe: Hello. This is [speaking] Moshe, the manager of “Moshe and Rafi Ltd”. Rafi
and I want to meet Arieh today. We’ll meet him at 2:00 in café “Hilel” in
Jerusalem.
Secretary: Very well. Arieh?
Arieh: Yes?
Secretary: Moshe and Rafi will meet you today at 2:00, in café “Hilel” in Jerusalem.
Arieh: Today?! Oh, these Israelis, always at the last moment! No, I can’t meet them
today. I’ll meet them tomorrow.
Secretary: Very well. Moshe?
Moshe: Yes?
Secretary: Arieh can’t meet you today. He’ll meet you tomorrow.
Moshe: Tomorrow? No, tomorrow is not good. Tomorrow Rafi and I will only finish
working at 10 PM at night.
Secretary: Hmm… I understand. Arieh?
Arieh: Yes?
Secretary: Moshe and Rafi will only finish working at 10 PM at night tomorrow.
Arieh: I understand. Okay, I’ll meet them next week.
Secretary: Okay. Moshe?
Moshe: Yes?
Secretary: Arieh will meet you next week, okay?
Moshe: Next week? That’s in a long time. How will I remember the meeting?
Secretary: Maybe you should [will] write (it) in your calendar?
Moshe: I don’t have a calendar.
Secretary: Maybe you should tell your wife that you have a meeting? Your wife will
surely remember. Women remember everything.
Moshe: Yes… well, I’ll tell my wife, she’ll really remember. Very well. We’ll meet
Arieh next Monday, at café “Hilel” in Jerusalem. See you later!
Secretary: See you later!
