7. Act Out
Exercise: Act out the dialogue in Hebrew while looking at the
English text. Use other names than in the original dialogue when
acting out.
ׁ ֵשם ֹּפ ַעל- 3 ְקבּו ָצה, ִב ְנ ָיין ָפ ַעל:ִסיפּור
Shalom. I am Roni. I am six years old.
My mom’s friends always ask: “Roni, what do you want to be
(become)?”
But I don’t know what to answer, because I want to do many
things:
I want to be an architect, because I want to build beautiful
houses in Jerusalem.
And I want to be a reporter of the National Geographic, because
I want to see new and beautiful places.
I want to be a teacher in an Ulpan, because I want to help
people make Aliyah [to immigrate] to Israel.
Oh, I want to cry, because I don’t know what I want to be
(become)!
