Hebrew script alphabet

In order for us to write, we need to get acquainted with the script letters.
As we saw already, the vowels – “nekudot”renotnintegrlprt
of the alphabet, and are regarded separately.
The way to write the Hebrew letters
The letters we will study are arranged differently in comparison to their
regular order in the Hebrew alphabet. Here the order is according to the way
we write the letters.
We divide the letters into two groups
In the first group the letters are written from left to right.
For instance, as in letter ב (Bet in script)
In the second group the letters are written from right to left and top
down.
For instance, as in letter א (Alef in script)
Study method:
Read each letter in the chart aloud and write the vowels in the corresponding
rows.
Listen to the CD for each letter, after getting to know only two letters, you
will be able to read.
W e will study how to write in Hebrew some sounds that do not exist in the
original alphabet, such as Z and G and will summarize the letters having
similar sounds.
