Irregulars - ןפוד יאצוי – ליעפה
After reviewing and practicing the regular Hif'eel form, we can now
learn and practice some irregular forms. In the following chart, the first
verb column (from the right) represents the regular Hif'eel form. The rest
are irregulars differing in their sound structure across different tenses:

In order to make it a lot easier for you to understand, remember and use
the irregular verbs, we will emphasize the commonality of those in
relation to the regular verbs.
The leading element is usually the infinitive form. Like in the case of
the regular verbs, it determines the sound pattern of the conjugated
verbs. There is always a very close connection between the infinitive
form and the sound pattern of the other tenses.
We have chosen to show 5 different irregular Hif'eel groups, which
contain most of the irregular Hif'eel verbs. Each such group has a
distinct sound pattern, which is slightly different from the regular one.
However, as mentioned previously, they still have a lot in common with
the regular Hif'eel group and when you identify the sound structure of
the infinitive form, it becomes very easy to use all the verbs belonging to
that group.
