Exercise: Act out the dialogue in Hebrew while looking at the English text.

Use other names than in the original dialogue when acting out.

Orly is Hungry and Yoel is Tired

Actor 1: Oh, man, I’m hungry!
Actor 2: Yes, I’m also hungry… Do you want to eat at a restaurant?

Actor 1: Yes, sure. Which restaurant?

Actor 2: There is a good restaurant on Herzl Street.
Actor 1: Herzl Street? It’s far from here!

Actor 2: Far? It’s ten minutes from here.

Actor 1: But I’m tired… Is there no restaurant close to here?
Actor 2: Yes, there’s a nearby restaurant on Rothschild Street.

Actor 1: On Rothschild Street? But everything is expensive there!

Actor 2: Okay, there is a café here on the street. They have excellent
and cheap food.

Actor 1: Great, cheap is good. They have good toasts (grilled cheese

sandwiches)? I want a toast, a toast with a lot of cheese.
Actor 2: Mmm, there are no toasts there.

Actor 1: Uh, is there chocolate milkshake? I want milkshake with a

lot of chocolate!

Actor 2: No, there is no chocolate milkshake there.
Actor 1: Is there sushi?

Actor 2: Are you kidding?

Actor 1: Yoel, I am tired. I am already not hungry.

Actor 2: Yes, I am also tired, but I am hungry!
Actor 1: OK, at home there is pizza in the freezer.

Actor 2: Pizza, pizza, pizza… Pizza every day?

Actor 1: Yes, pizza with a salad – it's good, tasty and cheap.
Actor 2: OK. So pizza at home…
