Advanced Hebrew Studying Kit

Shalom and welcome to Ulpan-Or.
This study kit will assist you to start understanding the Hebrew media in
Israel.

Studying method

Studying new words and expressions from Hebrew to English

 Please start with reading and learning the VOCABULARY for
each dialog first. CHECK which words you don’t know.

 WRITE each new word and expression from the vocabulary (in
your booklet) - on a FLASH CARD
One side in English – the other in Hebrew.

 LISTEN to the VOCABULARY for your item. The new words
and expressions will appear in the same sequence as you have on
your vocabulary list. Each new word on the flash card will be
heard and explained using a related sentence.

 Create your own sentences with the new words.

 LISTEN to each ITEM 4 times. Try to understand it in general

 Read the ITEM text while listening to the CD again.

 Now, that you already know your text, write it down in
English using accurate translation, so that you are able to tell
the text verbally in Hebrew looking at the English translation

Note that one side is in English and the other is in Hebrew.
Never mix Hebrew and English on the same side
