A Tragedy at Sea
This summer there are many tragedies at sea in Israel. Over the last
weekend singer Amir Frisher Guttman drowned at sea, when he tried to
save his niece on a beach with no lifeguard. It happened on the day Amir
was celebrating along with family a friends a year since he was cured of
cancer. Since the beginning of the year a hundred people drowned at sea, it
didn’t end well for twelve of them. In Israel there are a hundred and forty
kilometers of beaches where you can go into the sea, only seventeen
kilometers have lifeguards. Baruch Harush, a lifeguard in Haifa, says that
(you) have to be very careful of the sea and only go in where there’s a
lifeguard, only this way there will be no more tragedies.
