Playing Beethoven
Up until today he only performed on the stage of his school in Nazareth
Illit, but nothing prepared Oshri, just ten years old, for this moment when
he’ll play at the opening of an international festival at the Tel Aviv
Cinematheque before a full theater. “We saw that this was an unusual
child, a charming, intelligent boy, with a very good musical ear, and we
started asking his family that this charming boy will go to music school.
He joined the school in February, and now we’re hearing the first, simply
amazing results.” “When I started this road to playing, I said I won’t
succeed and it won’t help. Now I’m already starting my dream for the
future.” Just yesterday, a story about him was published in Yedioth
Ahronoth [newspaper], and already on that night he was invited to play at
a premiere of a movie that tells a story similar to his – about a boy in a
single parent family, a struggling family, who only dreams of playing the
piano. At home he plays an organ, but it seems like nothing would stop
Oshri, a little boy with great strength. We’ll hear of him for sure, just like
he imagines.
