Actor 1 My uncles and aunts live in America, but my grandfather and grandmother live in Israel.
Actor 2 Grandfather and grandmother on your mom’s side or on your dad’s side?
Actor 1 On dad’s side. My grandfather and grandmother on my mom’s side live in Philadelphia.

Actor 1 Where in Israel do they live?

Actor 2 They live in Netanya, right by the sea. Every summer we go to them for a week.

Actor 1 Really? And what do you do at their place?
Actor 2 In the morning we go to the beach [to the sea]. At noon, when it’s very hot and it’s not
Actor 1 possible to stay at the beach [at the sea], we return to grandpa and grandma’s house and
Actor 2 eat the tasty food that my grandmother cooks. Afterwards we play or see a movie at
Actor 1 home. Grandpa and grandma have a million games and a million movies. In the evening,
we go tour around a little in town and buy ice cream or pizza.
Wow, sounds fun… It’s a shame I don’t have a grandfather and grandmother in Israel.
It really is a shame… And uncles and aunts – Do you have uncles and aunts in Israel?
Yes. Both of my dad’s brothers live in Israel: One brother in Jerusalem, and one brother
on a kibbutz in the Golan.
Do you visit your uncles every year?

Yes. My dad misses his brothers very much, and we also miss our cousins. We need to
see them at least once a year.
