Shira: Akiva, why can you never arrive on time? We need to study for
the exam and there isn’t a lot of time. Now do you promise to
help me understand all of the exercises in math?

Akiva: Sorry, I really want to arrive on time but something always
happens.

Shira: You need to promise me that from now on you arrive on time.
Akiva: I really want to promise, but I don’t know if I can.
Shira: Okay, okay, never mind. I’m hungry. What do you want to order?

Coffee? Soup?
Akiva: I don’t know. I know! May I can invite you [out] for breakfast?
Shira: Okay, if it makes you feel better, you can invite me [out] for a

meal. I really do like to start the day with breakfast.
Akiva: Great.

At the Café:
Akiva: Waiter, I want to order breakfast for two, please.
Shira: Where are your wife and kids? Don’t they need to get here?
Akiva: Yes, they need to get here in about a quarter of an hour.
Shira: Great, I want to get to know them. I have never seen them.
Akiva: Yes, they also want to get to know you.

The phone rings.
Shira: Hello? Yes. Who is this? What’s going on? Wait, what? To

where? Oh man…
Akiva: What’s going on? What’s happening?
Shira: I need to go. I need to run.
Akiva: Why?
Shira: My manager can’t come to an important meeting and I need to

get there. So we need to set [a meeting] again.
Akiva: And this time I promise to arrive on time.
