Israeli Champion
Linoy Ashram is the first (female) Israeli Olympic champion. Good routines promised her a medal
but she did not know which color. After the last routine, she realized that the color is gold. Linoy
made history when [they] heard "HaTikva" and saw the Israeli flag in Japan. On the way to the
medal, Linoy defeated the Russian Averina twins. Many people in Russia did not accept her victory
and claimed that Dina Averina should have won. Linoy Ashram from Rishon LeTzion proved to
everyone that talent and hard work can take us to the farthest places.
