Duty Free Chocolate
Maybe because we feel bad coming back home empty-handed,
maybe because once upon a time foreign chocolate cost a lot of
money. Either way, on the way to a vacation abroad the endless
chocolate shelves at the duty free are a mandatory stop. Toblerone,
M&Ms, Lindt, the family remaining in Israel is waiting for that
sweet surprise, (they) must be expecting you to come back with a
treat from the ‘duty’ at your work too. Except that the prices may
sound cheap in dollars, but in many cases, it’s better off to buy the
chocolate at the supermarket or the neighborhood candy store. Here
it is, the star of the chocolates symbolizing abroad: the Toblerone.
It's price at the duty free today is almost forty-seven NIS. But we
found it at the Little Switzerland candy network for only thirty NIS.
The Toblerone was a red light for the prices at Ben Gurion Airport
for us, so we kept checking. At the duty free you’ll find a huge
selection of candy boxes, chocolates, hard candies and what not.
Some of this selection isn’t sold in Israel, but whatever is around
the local market - (you) should compare.
