Dialogue 10: BBQ with Nadav’s family
Act out the dialogue from English.
Yael: Uri! I'm looking for Nadav, do you know where he is?
Uri: No, I don't know, why are you looking for him?
Yael: I want to invite him and his family to the barbeque this
week, and he's not answering the phone.
Uri: Really? What, do you know them well?
Yael: I know them a little, but Nadav is a good friend of mine
and I want to get to know his family. They are new
Uri: immigrants from Russia.
Yael:
I understand… Okay, usually you meet him at work every
day, right?
Right… I'm meeting him tomorrow and can invite him
then. Hey, Uri!
Uri: What?
Yael: You are also coming the barbeque, right?
Uri: I don't know, are you inviting me?
Yael: Come on Uri, of course I am inviting you!
Uri: Oh, maybe I don't understand you well. Great, excellent, I
want to come.
Yael: Do you want to come with your family?
Uri: I can, do you want to meet them? They are very nice.
Yael: Yeah, I am very happy to meet them! Hey, here is Nadav
calling now. Hello Nadav? How are you? I want to invite
you (pl.) to a barbeque this week!
Nadav: Us? The entire family?
Yael: Yes!
Nadav: With the entire family? Well, we are coming!
