1 Shoshana tells:
2 I have two sons and a daughter.
The daughter finished third grade this year, the
3 middle son finished fifth grade, and the eldest –
eighth grade.
Every year, with the joy towards the summer
4
break, there is also the fear of the report card.
The daughter, Orly, is a very good student and
5 the report card that she received this year was
very good as well.
Also Ori, the eldest son, received a good report
6
card.
Not all of the grades are very high, but all in all
7
the report card he brought home was nice.
Only with Jonathan, the middle son, we have a
8
problem.
9 Every year, the report cards he gets are mediocre.
It is hard to get angry at him about the report
10 card because he studies seriously, does his
homework and tries hard.
Usually, in the days before receiving the report
cards, he is in a bad mood, especially when he
11
sees the good report cards that his brother and
sister receive.
This year he brought home a report card with
12
low grades.
He shut himself in his room and didn't want to
13
talk to anyone.
I told him that it's not so terrible and that surely
14
next year he will receive a better report card.
15 But everything I said only upset him more.
I don't know how I should behave with him and
16
how to react.
