          UNIT 6 - Binyan Hitpa'el

Exercise: Act out the dialogue in Hebrew while looking at the English
text. Use other names than in the original dialogue when acting out.

Michael: Osnat, long time no see! Almost a year! What's happening?
Osnat: What's happening? What's not happening…
Michael: Well…tell me!
Osnat:
Michael: Well, you met [knew] my boyfriend, Yigal?
Osnat: Yeah, sure… I met him a couple of times.

Michael: When you met him we were only going out [friends], but since then- we
Osnat: progressed and got married…

Michael: You (pl.) got married? Really? Congratulations!
Osnat:
Yeah, we got married. It was such a beautiful wedding. Many people came,
Michael: and they all dressed up nicely…
Osnat:
          And were you excited?
Michael:
Osnat: Yeah, I was very excited. Yigal was excited too. He was so excited that he got
Michael: confused...
Osnat:
Michael: Got confused? What did he do?
Osnat:
He wanted to sing me a song at the wedding, but he was excited and forgot the
Michael: words…
Osnat:
Michael: Oh, poor thing...
Osnat:
And you? What have you been doing in the recent year?

Do you remember that I worked at the Prime-Minister's office?

          Yeah.

So I progressed a lot, and now I manage the office.
Manage?! This is why you got dressed so nicely… you need to dress like a
manager. Wow! You really did progress.
Yeah, you know… I didn’t get rich from this job, but I like it.
          Well, money isn’t everything.

Very true. Well, good to see you. See you later.

          See you later!
