The political centre of the country, Chiyoda, literally means ‚field of a

thousand generations". With the seat of the Emperor in the Imperial Palace at

the ward's centre, many government institutions, such as the National Diet,

Prime Minister's Official Residence, and Supreme Court, are also located here.

Akihabara, a district known for being an otaku cultural centre and a shopping

district for computer goods, is also located in Chiyoda.

It is the best place to geek out and/or shop for tech. SEGA GiGO, a six-story

complex full of arcade

machines, claw games, and

capsule dispensers is a gamers

paradise. You can head to one

of the ‘Maid Café’s afterwards

where the insanely friendly and

cute maids are masters in

conversation.
