The members of Gemini Syndrome lit incense preforming
their pre-show ritual outside The Goat in Manchester, NH,
as fans tried to sneak a peek through a partially opened
back door near the stage. As the band members took the
stage to begin this leg of their Initiation Tour, ION Indie
Magazine zoomed in on drummer Brian Steele Medina, who
stuck his tongue out in response, then pointed to the
camera.
Gemini Syndrome formed in 2010. Aaron Nordstrom (lead
vocalist), Brian Steele Medina (drums), and Alessandro
Paveri (also known as AP, on bass) felt an instant
connection, even across the coasts. Brian was living in Los
Angeles at the time. Brian had heard about Aaron through
his old college roommate, so he sent Aaron a message via
MySpace and they agreed to meet in person.
The two hit the studio three days later with their guitarist at
the time and AP, who they were hoping would join on bass.
Brian asked AP to join the band after seeing him play bass
in the studio. Meegs (Miguel Rascon) joined the band in
2017, quickly finding a place in their family.
Gemini Syndrome opened with the song “Stardust” off their
album “Lux” (which means light in Latin) as the stage lights
came up and Aaron Nordstrom stepped to center stage
sporting shorter hair, without his signature dreadlocks. Fans
leaned in close as he reached out his hand kneeling down
to make a connection.
