I’ve heard from many different people
that 80s hair bands were a big influence in rock music for a more than a
decade starting in early 1980 and found its start inside small clubs along the
famed Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, hair metal bands that played before bar-
sized crowds in such places as The Roxy, The Troubadour, The Whisky A Go
Go, and Gazzarri’s Night Club. Those small venues served as a launching
stage for many of the glam rock bands such as Motley Crue, Quiet
Riot, Warrant, Skid Row, and many rock giants.
