MH: How did you come about the name and what does
‘Hallyways’ mean?

Hallyways: We went through some changes shortly after band
members decided to quit. During this process, some things
changed -- one of those things was the band's name. Most of the
work we have accomplished was done under the Spanish name
‘Alias Civil,’ but most of our friends here in the states had trouble
pronouncing it correctly. Amongst a list of names we had come up
surges the name Hallyways. We opted for this name due to its
meaning. ‘Hally’ means 'army leader, commander, to lead by
example.’ This resonated with our purpose as a band, and that is to
lead by example with love and hope, in the midst of a split society
due to its differences. That's the 'way' we choose to carry ourselves,
so we are Hallyways.
