You can’t imagine how I felt two days before the show when I opened my emails and read

that I had been approved to cover the Guns N’ Roses’ “Not In This Lifetime Tour” for ION
Indie Magazine. Apparently, the referenced “lifetime” had unbeknownst to me, already
passed…and I would be witnessing the rebirth of a “new lifetime”, and I would be on the
“front lines” as a Senior Photojournalist for one of the chosen media outlets granted
credentials for this much-anticipated performance. I soon learned that there was a press
conference the day before the event and all media was invited to The Sun Bowl to soak in the
magnitude of this momentous event. One of the facts shared during the briefing was that
there are three stages which require 15 tractor trailers per stage that leapfrog each other
from city to city. The production is just THAT immense.
