It’s Friday night and I return to Worthing Pier
Southern Pavilion for an evening with the
incomparable Walter Trout – which turned out
to be the best performance I have seen him
do, having seen him play on some large stages
at big venues. But tonight was especially
memorable for many reasons.
The evening began with local musicians Will
Wilde and Danny Giles. Will is one of the best
blues/rock harp players in the country at
present. Check out his take on “Parisienne
Walkways”. Speaking with him after the gig, he
shared that it’s currently his favourite song to
play. Danny and Will received a standing
ovation at their set’s end.
