It makes me happy to see a band with this much rich history still doing their thing -- touring and
giving their fans a much needed dose of Texas-bred Rock and Roll. I was glad to be able to relive some
nostalgic memories -- and this time, doing it without the veil of sweat over my face. It was a real pleasure to
hear these Toadies’ songs performed live -- songs that have been with me as long as they have, like a familiar
friend. But even more so, being right up front in the pit photographing them was a real treat. Truth be told,
I have “I Come From The Water” on “mental auto play” in my head as I write this…but some things just are
worth repeating.
