This May/June 2018 of ION Indie Magazine marks 4 years that this magazine has been in
existence. This “Little Engine That Could” of the publishing world continues to roll down the track
– bringing our readers the best of independent music of all genres -- along with some of the most
recognizable names in entertainment. At this juncture, I must tip my wings to the staff of ION
Indie Magazine…for they are the heartbeat of this publication. They are the catalyst for this
magazine getting independent music read about, seen, and heard. We began this journey back
in June of 2014, and since then, we’ve seen many changes – both in our look and the people that
fuel this project. It has been a most rewarding venture, and yes, if I am to be perfectly honest,
nerve-wracking at times. Producing a magazine ain’t for wusses. I always say that tenacity creates
traction -- and with the “bastions of badassery” that comprise the staff of ION Indie Magazine

continuously providing compelling content and dynamic photography to each edition of this publication, we’ve become a
recognizable and respected presence in the magazine arena – and the fastest-growing all-genre independent music

publication today! Although we cover all genres of music, the staff of ION totally RAWKS!

This anniversary edition of ION is another shining example of our commitment to excellence in music journalism.
