Tom’s voice may be unique, which is awesome, but let’s talk about his
guitar playing. He played his electric and then pulled out his acoustic,
and at times, he played his steel string guitar, resembling a country
artist performing rock and roll. He’s an amazing all-around musician!
He performed songs like “Hot & Bothered,” which I remember from the
movie Wayne’s World, also “Nobody’s Fool,” and “Shake Me.” He
ended the main set with “Shelter Me.” Then, they came back with an
encore, starting with probably their biggest hit, “Don’t Know What You
Got (Till It’s Gone),” They then went into the Joe Cocker version of
The Beatles’ “With a Little Help From My Friends.” They ended the
concert playing a ripping version of “Gypsy Road.”
I’m so glad I worked this show. You don’t get to see real rock
musicianship all the time. So, I would not have missed this once in a
lifetime music experience.
