Growing up in East Los Angeles
in the late 60s/early 70s, my mom used to have
the radio blasting throughout the house while
she cleaned. She was in love with these huge
Mexican artists, and I would get to know them
through the radio -- whether I wanted to or not.
And one of these artists was Antonio Aguilar.
Fast forward to June 2022…when I heard
Pepe Aguilar was coming to AVA
Amphitheatre, the name rang a bell. I did a little
research and it turned out that Pepe Aguilar is
Antonio Aguilar’s son! I immediately made
contact with my AVA peeps and I was invited
to do a concert live performance shoot.
