Having met each other in Aklan
province in the Philippines,
Rikki, Ivert and Vince reunited
in America after migrating from
their home country. In 2016, the
trio started jamming songs
written by Rikki as an acoustic
band called “Summer Fling.”
They eventually felt that these
songs had really great
potential, so in 2019, they
decided to change the band as
an alternative/hard rock band.
After practicing and finalizing
the arrangement of the songs,
they decided to record their first
self-produced 5-track EP
entitled “Diary Chapter 1:
Beginning,” which they
released in 2021. In that same
year, the band decided to
change the band name to
“Summerfling Memoirs” and
finalized the line-up of the band
with having Alder joined as their
guitarist.
