Marty Haviik: Hey, Caiden! Thank you for your time. I have lots of questions about
you and your music, but at the same time, I’ll try to keep this interview short and
sweet. Let’s start by sharing with our readers who you are and what you’re about.
The bio on your web page describes your music style as ‘a modern incarnation of
Top 40 country blended with an outlaw and classic rock attitude.’ Elaborate a little
bit more on what you mean by that.
Caiden Brewer: I love old school country. Being a part of the generation I live in, I don't
feel like I can say that I'm "old school" or a true "outlaw country" country artist. I respect
the genre too much. All I know is I just put my own twist on it.
MH: I like to ask this question to all my artist that I interview: With our current
situation with the pandemic, the craziness of 2020, how has this impacted you in
your life and music? And what keeps Caiden Brewer moving forward?
CB: COVID really messed things up for me. I had plans to tour from here to Florida this
year, but you know, things change. Thankfully, I was able to find a job that could help me
get through this hard time.
MH: Share with us a little on what inspires you. Where do you get your motivation?
Is there any artist or bands that you looked up to and how have they impacted your
life in music?
CB: I Love music. I love life and I like writing and singing about things I can relate to. I truly
look up to Waylon Jennings and Tyler Childers. Honestly, I believe it's because they write
and sing about REAL everyday life.
MH: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given and by whom?
CB: A friend by Drew Cooper once told me, ‘There's no plan B. Only plan A.’
