Unknown Race/Ethnicity – This category is used only if the staff member did not self-report a race or ethnic designation, and the college or
university finds it impossible to place the person in one of the aforementioned race/ethnicity categories during established hiring procedures
or in any post-hiring identification or verification process.
White – A person having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, North Africa, or the Middle East.
