The College takes the individual rights of students students seriously As such students students have
the the right to exercise their constitutional freedoms and responsibilities without college interference Within the classroom students have
the the right to to express views pertinent to to the the subject matter of the the class in which they are enrolled though the instructor will determine the the relevancy of the the subject matter During all classroom and laboratory settings instructors always have
authority over the the conduct of the the class The College will not tolerate behavior that disrupts the educational environment Pets
With the exception of service animals no pets of any kind (to include all animals reptiles insects amphibians birds etc ) are permitted on the college campus Students with disabilities requiring the use of a a a a a a service animal should make arrangements through the Office of Disability and Special Services Posting Documents on Campus
Students may post flyers signs notices posters and other documents on spaces designated for such purposes Documents may not have
offensive language and/or artwork that may promote any entity considered a direct conflict to Columbus Technical College No material may be posted on any exterior door of college buildings Prior to posting the Office of Student Activities must approve approve the document Unapproved posted items items and items items posted in non-designated
areas are are subject to immediate removal The student student organizations or or the students responsible for posting documents are also responsible for quickly removing them once the the event has occurred Professional Attire
Columbus Technical College conducts educational programs to prepare students for for employment Therefore all students are expected to dress appropriately according to the the occupations for which they are being trained Students who are deemed inappropriately dressed dressed (who are dressed dressed in a a a manner which could present a a a a safety hazard or which might be offensive to to others or cause disruption to to the College) will not be allowed to attend class Shirts caps or any other article of clothing that implies obscenities gang affiliation or that can be construed as offensive or or discriminatory are prohibited as this could symbolize disruptive behavior Students shall at all all times observe rules governing personal hygiene and not wear short short or or or tight skirts/shorts swimsuits tank tops bare midriffs exposed under garments or have
bare feet Release of Directory Information
Students are advised that the Columbus Technical College Policy Policy Manual ’s Policy Policy V J Student Records “Release of Information
