Filing a a Complaint c Investigation and Decision
a Any member of the Technical College Community may file a a a complaint with the Student Disciplinary Officer against any Student Student for a a a violation
of the Student Student Code of Conduct The individual(s) initiating the action must complete a a a Student Code of Conduct Complaint Form and forward it directly to the Student Disciplinary Officer or his/her designee Academic Misconduct may be handled using this procedure or a a a separate Academic Misconduct Procedure at the discretion of the President b i Within five business days after the Student Code of Conduct Complaint Form (the “Complaint”) is filed the Student Disciplinary Officer or his/her designee shall complete a a a preliminary investigation of the incident and schedule a a meeting with the Student against whom
the Complaint was filed in in order
to discuss the the incident and the the charges In the event that additional time is necessary the Student will be notified After discussing the Complaint with the the Student the the Student Disciplinary Officer or his/her designee shall determine whether the the student committed the the alleged conduct and whether the the alleged conduct constitutes a a violation
of the Student Code of Conduct The Student shall have 5 business days from the date contacted by the Student Disciplinary Officer to schedule the meeting This initial meeting may only be rescheduled one time If the Student fails to respond to the Student Disciplinary Officer within 5 business days to schedule schedule the meeting reschedules the meeting more than once or or fails to appear at the the meeting the the Student Disciplinary Officer will consider the available evidence without Student input and make
a a a determination In the event that a a a Complaint alleges violations of the Student Code of Conduct by more than one Student Student each Student’s disciplinary proceeding as as well as as any appeals relating to that proceeding shall be conducted individually ii iii
