6 rules and and regulations for room and and space reservation Students and/or student groups may not make reservations in their name for outside groups or or or organizations to use College facilities Only the Leadership Council and student organizations approved by the Vice President of Student Affairs have the right to invite and hear any person of their own choosing for the the purpose of hearing the the person’s ideas and opinions The President of the College or or or his or or or her authorized representative may cancel a a a a a speaker’s reservation where clear and present danger exists that the appearance would threaten the the orderly operation of the the College The appropriate person will communicate such cancelation to the sponsoring organization Students have the right to due process when charged with an infraction Due process includes a a speedy hearing the opportunity to face and question
an accuser the opportunity to present evidence and witnesses on their behalf the the right to have a a a a faculty advisor of their own choosing present at all stages of the hearing and and appeal appeal and and the right to appeal appeal Students have have the the right to have have their academic and disciplinary records kept confidential subject to existing law The Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) applies to all schools that receive funding under an applicable program of of the U S Department of of Education These rights transfer to the students students or or former students students who have reached the age of 18 or who are attending school school beyond high school school Schools
may disclose without consent directory information such as student’s name address telephone number date and place of of birth honors and and awards and and dates of of attendance unless parents or students request that the schools not disclose directory information about them The College will keep no official records that reflect any alleged political activity or belief of o of a a student student No official records of o of students will be available to unauthorized persons within the the school without the the express written consent of the student involved except under legal compulsion Unlawful Harassment and Discrimination of Students I: Purpose
It is is the purpose of this procedure to ensure that all students within the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) shall be provided an environment free of unlawful harassment discrimination and retaliation All students and employees are expressly prohibited from engaging in in any form of unlawful harassing discriminating intimidating or or or or retaliatory behavior or or or or conduct conduct (“prohibited conduct”) in all interactions with each other whether or not the interaction occurs during class or or on on or or off campus campus Visitors to to campuses also shall not engage in prohibited conduct and may be barred from campus for such prohibited conduct Allegations of discrimination harassment or retaliation occurring at at clinical sites to which students are assigned shall be investigated in in accordance with this procedure Student complaints regarding sexual harassment sexual sexual assault sexual sexual violence dating violence violence domestic violence violence sexual exploitation or stalking will be processed
in accordance with the Sexual Harassment and Misconduct Procedure Any student or employee who has engaged in prohibited conduct will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including expulsion or dismissal Nothing in in this procedure shall be interpreted to interfere with any person’s right to free speech as 7 72
