NSAA BIDS FAREWELL & APPRECIATION No resort is quite like yours

        TO FOREST SERVICE RECREATION DIRECTOR

BY GERALDINE LINK, NSAA DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC POLICY

THE US FOREST SERVICE national director of recreation, Joe
Meade, retired from the agency on July 3 after 40 years of
service. Meade has made a significantly positive impact on
the ski industry/US Forest Service partnership. It was so sig-
nificant, in fact, that NSAA recognized him back in 2015
with a Partnership Award, recognizing his commitment to
the common goal of preserving the environment to help
        ensure the future of snowsports.
While many organizations have given Meade awards
and recognition this year to mark the end of his tenure at the
Forest Service, we did it two years ago because we did not
want to wait to recognize him! His actions and contributions
in his first year and half as recreation director compelled the
industry to tell him right out of the gates how much he was
admired as our partner in recreation.
“Joe is so exceptional that NSAA took an unconventional
approach to formally thanking him and honoring him
at the front end,” said Bob Bonar, NSAA’s Public Lands
Committee Chair. No financial services company delivers solutions quite like ours. We recognize that your business faces a unique set of
